The Indigenous Music Awards (IMAs) are postponed this year.

Due to extenuating circumstances, the IMAs will take a hiatus in 2020.

“We have loved celebrating Indigenous musicians and industry over the past 14 years and look forward to continuing the celebration and recognition in 2021,” said Lisa Meeches, the executive director of the Manito Ahbee Festival.

The Indigenous Music Awards remain committed to honouring musicians and the music industry.

The IMA Studio Sessions will go ahead this year. Musicians will be able to apply for the opportunity to visually record a live song. Those details will be released in the near future.

We will also feature Indigenous musical legacies throughout the year with our social media series: The Legacies. Watch for it rolling out soon, share it with your contacts while we look at Indigenous musical history on Turtle Island.

Thank you for all your support and we look forward to connecting with you throughout the year.
