Chippewa Travellers

1 Award1 Nomination

Pow Wow - TraditionalFirst Nations

The Chippewa Travellers are an Anishnaabeg family drum group who primarily sing Northern Original style drum. The Chippewa Travellers are from several different Central and Southern Ontario reservations; Cape Croker (Neyaashingiming), Wikwemikong, Georgina Island, Oneida, Akwesasne, Sarnia (Aamjiwnaang) & Sagamok.

As a group of friends and family, the Chippewa Travellers are blessed to be so rich in family tradition. We come together to sing for the people every chance we get because it is what we love to do. Even though our singers and their (ever expanding) families live so far away from each other, we always find a way to bring our families together and sing with good hearts and good minds.
