Rock guitarist Stevie Salas hosts this high energy and fast paced music variety TV show that’s been likened to a musical version of “The Larry Sanders Show” meets “The Office.” The program’s premise has Salas, his “assistant,” real life movie star, Eric Schweig, and new cast member and also real life movie star, Adam Beach, as three native guys who run a music variety TV show, but have absolutely no idea what they are doing.
Salas began his career when he was discovered in 1985 by funk legend George Clinton who hand-picked him to be his guitarist. He went on to play sold-out stadiums with Rod Stewart and Mick Jagger and wrote hit songs with Jeff Healey, Sass Jordan, Bootsy Collins and many others. Guitar Player Magazine has named him one of the Top 50 Guitarists of All Time.
His recent work includes acting as Musical Director for American Idol’s Chris Daughtry, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. In 2009, Salas was the youngest recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Native American Music Awards and in 2010 he won the ACAM (BMI awards forCentral America) Rock Songwriter of the Year. He also played guitar on the Grammy nominated, multi-platinum, global # 1 record “Dead and Gone” by TI and Justin Timberlake.
