"I am Red Running into Water Clan born for the Salt People Clan, my Maternal Grandfather's Clan is the Towering House Clan, and my Paternal Grandfather's Clan is the Deer Water Clan." - Callie

Singing before she was able to speak words, Callie Bennett, was adopted at 4 months old from Seoul, South Korea and was raised both on and off the Navajo Reservation. Immediately, her mother noticed her gifting, and at a very young age Callie began to develop a heart and passion not only for singing, but for all musical arts. At 5 years old her mother placed her in piano lessons, at 7 singing lessons, and 13 guitar lessons.

Today, Callie is based out of the Navajo Nation, and her music is inspired by her family and by her inherited Navajo/Diné Native American culture. Not only have the Navajo/Diné People adopted and embraced her, but she has embraced the People and their Navajo/Diné heritage as her own.

Callie is highly involved with the non-profit organization Covenant of Faith, which is located on the Navajo Nation. Along with her leadership role as Music Director at Covenant of Faith, she is also the Executive Administrator. She has taught at youth groups, performed on the Trinity Broadcasting Television Network of Arizona, has volunteered in her local Navajo Chapter Government, continues to work on musical projects and collaborations, and continuously travels extensively with her Father, Ellson Bennett.

Her first album is entitled 'Glorify' and was released in 2011, which was nominated in the year 2013 Native American Music Awards for Best Female Artist and Best Gospel/Inspirational Recording.

In 2016 Callie and her music had the amazing opportunity to be apart of the documentary movie “Awakened: The Spiritual Destiny of the First Americans” and through the soundtrack album of the film released 3 of her singles “Rise Up”, “Awake, Arise & Shine”, and “How Great Thou Art” in the Diné (Navajo) Language.

In 2017 her highly anticipated Album entitled 'Awake, Arise, Shine' was released in 2017 at the Healing of the Nations Motorcycle Rally on the Navajo Nation.

In the same year not only was Callie's single 'Awake Arise and Shine' nominated in the Native American Music Awards for Best Female Artist of the year and Best Gospel Inspirational Record of the year but won the Best Gospel Inspirational Record of the year Category.

In her new album 'Awake, Arise, Shine' Callie had the amazing opportunity of having the involvement of Larry Dunn, an original member from the world renown group 'Earth, Wind and Fire', on the single track of her album entitled 'Hope'.

Callie has also had the honor to open in concert for the well known Christian band Kutless, and sing the United States National Anthem in the Diné (Navajo) Language at various places including schools, veteran's honoring events, and the Phoenix, Arizona's Heard Museum's Annual Indian Fair & Market.

Because of her many options with styles and sounds, Callie desires to explore the exciting possibilities of involving indigenous culture with her music. Callie also has a passion to explore her giftings in photography and the fine arts.

Callie's heart is to reach out to all nations with encouragement, hope, faith, and love. She desires to see lives changed, transformed, and restored through the power of word, music, and any other avenue that will help bring positive change to the youth, communities, and families for the better.
