Diyet is an indigenous singer/songwriter who sings in Southern Tutchone and English. Her songs are about the wild, raw and beautiful people and landscape of her northern Yukon home and experience.
Diyet and the Love Soldier songs are rooted in traditional Southern Tutchone, Americana and Roots music. The sound is part country, part vibey, part folk and roots.
Diyet and the Love Soldiers self titled album is close to home but universal in nature. Diyet writes from a personal and honest place which is real and hopeful and that is pretty much who Diyet and the Love Soldiers are - earnest, grassroots, northern people.
The Love Solders are Robert and Bob, aka “the Boberts". Both hat wear'n, facial hair’n, multi instrumentalists who are more than a backing band but true collaborators that build the canvas for Diyet’s words and melodies.
